Environmental Water Monitoring
How do you monitor water quality to protect communities and the environment?Tracking and tracing nutrients and contamination in water helps create better environments.
Catchment groups, individual farmers, businesses, Regional Councils, Iwis and local communities are all facing similar issues when it comes to the improvement and management of New Zealand’s freshwater quality; the ability to accurately monitor ponds, rivers, tributaries and surrounding water bodies through the tracking and tracing of nutrients in freshwater attribute levels. Understanding on a deeper level of the local weather conditions, including rain run-off and soil penetration is key in developing a better understanding of the health and happenings of the catchment ecosystem.

Continuous water monitoring creates valuable data to aid in water quality and catchment area decision making.
The solution has the option of adding chlorophyll A and/or upgrading the sensor configurations so FTU / NTU / TSS, TOC, NO3 or TSS, COD, BOD, NO3 can also be monitored. The Libelium controller transfers data to the Adroit IoT Platform, where it can then be viewed via a web browser or mobile app, with customisable dashboards, reporting, and alerting. Data can be exported or accessed via a set of APIs.
