Adroit EWS-VWT (Vibrating Wire Telemetry): Reliable Geotechnical Data Delivered to the Cloud
Adroit is proud to be the New Zealand distributor for EWS, a specialist in IoT equipment for the Australian mining, geotechnical, hydrological, environmental and construction industries.
The undisputed leader in Geotechnical Monitoring Sensors in Australasia, EWS was born from first-hand experience in the mining sector in the remote areas in Western Australia where distances are huge and rugged durability is essential.
The EWS partnership provides Adroit with an array of field-tested equipment unavailable in New Zealand until now.
Access to Essential Geotechnical Data – from Anywhere, Anytime
The EWS VWT (Vibrating Wire Telemetry) system offers a versatile, multi-channel, and multi-communication IoT device range, purpose-built for remote geotechnical monitoring. Easy to connect to any vibrating wire sensor, such as VWPs, strain gauges, and crack meters, the EWS VWT can transmit data from virtually anywhere via the 4G network or Iridium satellite connectivity. The EWS device range transmits data directly to the cloud via satellite or cellular networks, eliminating the need for troublesome radio gateways and minimising the risk of single-point failures. Available in two, four, or eight-channel models, the EWS VWT adapts to projects of any scale, whether for a single sensor operating in a sensitive location, or many sensors in nested piezometer bores. And, it can stay charged in all conditions – with a custom-designed 3W clip-on solar panel that keeps the internal batteries charged, making it perfect for long-term, “set-and-forget” monitoring solutions.Ideal for Geotechnical Monitoring Across a Range of Applications
The EWS VWT is proven in a wide range of applications in some of the world’s toughest environments, including:
- Tailings Storage Facilities
- Dam Safety
- Construction and Infrastructure
- Slope Stability
- Dewatering
