Adroit Heads to QuarryNZ 2026
Adroit is attending the QuarryNZ Conference 2026 for the first time as an exhibitor, bringing a range of portable and fixed environmental monitoring solutions to the annual IOQ/AQA event, happening 22–24 July in Invercargill.
Adroit's engagement with the industry has grown over the past few years, driven in part by the success of Winstone Aggregates' innovative work with the Adroit Portable Monitoring Kit (PMK) to monitor dust exposure risks in high-risk spaces across its sites nationwide.
That work was presented as a case study at last year's conference, where Winstone Aggregates Health and Safety Manager Anya Hardy received the Turnco–Astec Achievement Award for excellence in plant operation and problem-solving. Well-earned recognition for their innovative use of portable monitoring technology for worker health and safety.
At this year's event, the Adroit team will be demonstrating the PMK units for dust monitoring that have become essential tools for the extraction industries. Visitors will also be able to explore the company's wider monitoring solutions, including geotechnical solutions for slope stability monitoring; vibration monitoring; groundwater monitoring; water quality monitoring for site run-off, tracking parameters such as turbidity and E. coli; weather stations providing live rainfall, wind speed and essential data; and monitoring for potential gases.
The common thread across all of these solutions is real-time connectivity. Data from connected environmental sensors can be visualised on the Adroit Platform, with customisable threshold alerts and analytics helping quarry operators manage compliance, health and safety, and potential community disruption from a single dashboard.
As awareness of environmental monitoring to support compliance and health risks continues to grow, these sensors are fast becoming standard practice across the New Zealand quarrying industry.
