Spark and Adroit to Exhibit at Water New Zealand Conference & Expo

The conference brings together water professionals, councils, infrastructure providers, researchers and technology specialists from across New Zealand. This year’s event comes at an important time for the sector, with changes to water service delivery happening alongside ageing infrastructure, increasing demands on water quality and environmental performance, and the need to build greater resilience into water networks.
Spark is leading the joint exhibit at Stands 196 & 197, where Adroit will demonstrate its latest monitoring technology for groundwater, flood and water levels, water quality and worksite runoff.
Recent developments include flood monitoring systems that combine level sensors with cameras, providing visual confirmation alongside live measurements. Rather than relying on a water-level reading alone, operators can see conditions at the monitored location and assess what is happening as an event develops.
Adroit’s water quality systems can monitor a wide range of parameters, including E. coli, providing ongoing information about changing water conditions. Remote monitoring can complement established sampling programmes, providing information between site visits and helping identify changes that may require further investigation.
Adroit is already applying this technology in the field. In Hastings, flood-level monitoring provides live information on rising water levels, helping councils, infrastructure operators and first responders make earlier, better-informed decisions during heavy rainfall.
Connectivity is central to remote monitoring. Sensors and cameras in the field need to communicate reliably, often from difficult or isolated locations. Working with Spark brings together Adroit’s sensors, monitoring systems and data platforms with the connectivity needed to get that information from the field to dashboards, alerts and the people responsible for managing water assets.
Visitors to Stands 196 & 197 will be able to see the latest monitoring technology and talk with the Spark and Adroit teams about applications across groundwater, flood monitoring, water quality, stormwater, worksite runoff and environmental management.
