Adroit Returns to the 2025 Water New Zealand Conference & Expo

This event brings together global and local leaders in water, wastewater, and stormwater for a dynamic week of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and inspiration.

With over 200 technical presentations, international keynote speakers, pre-conference workshops, site visits, and social events, the programme is packed with insight, innovation, and opportunities to connect. Topics cover climate resilience, governance, innovation, and equity, alongside dedicated sessions for young water professionals.

Last year’s conference was particularly successful for Adroit, leading to new relationships and environmental sensor installations across the country, especially in water level monitoring and flood detection.

This year, the Adroit team will showcase next-generation water level monitoring solutions, which use non-contact radar sensors to track river height in real-time. Often deployed alongside cameras and other monitoring solutions such as tiltmeters for slope stability, weather stations, and groundwater sensors, these systems provide a comprehensive understanding of flood risk in at-risk communities.

By visualising real-time data, councils, infrastructure operators and communities gain an invaluable early-warning system that can prevent loss of life, protect critical assets and reduce cost of recovery — identifying what is happening in rivers, catchments and groundwater and turning this raw data into actionable intelligence.
